Filling with fuel

Only fill the tank with fresh and clean unleaded standard petrol.
Fuel with up to 10% ethanol is acceptable.
–
Unscrew tank cap.
–
Fill tank with fuel using a funnel up to max. lower edge of filling nozzle.
–
Replace tank cap and screw tight.

STARTING THE ENGINE (Illustration B + Z + E )
Only start the engine when standing behind of the mower.
Place the mower on a level surface where the grass is not too high (high grass inhibits the start of the cutter bar and makes
starting more difficult). Where this is not possible, position the mower in such a way that the cutter is facing diagonally away
from the user, although only as far as absolutely necessary.
Press the primer – pump* (1) three to five times up to the limit (also if the engine has stopped because of lack of fuel,
–
refill the fuel and press the primer three to five times) B .
NOTE
Initial pumping is normally unnecessary when a hot engine is restarted. However, in cold weather it can be necessary to
initially pump the fuel.

Push and hold the safety control bar (2) on the top tube (3) Z .
–
Slowly pull the starter cable (4) until resistance is felt, then pull out quickly E , – the engine begins to run, slowly recoils
the station.

If the engine does not start after 3 pulls, press the primer three to five times and then pull the starter cable again.
*is located on the left-hand side of the engine (in direction of movement)

CAUTION
Hold the starter cable handle firmly when starting. The handle may otherwise slip out of your hand. Risk of injury!
IMPORTANT
The motor only operates when the safety control bracket is pressed against the upper part of the handlebar. As
soon as the safety control bracket is released, this returns to its original position under spring force, the motor
brake is actuated, and the motor and blade come to stop within three seconds.

Release the safety control bracket.
11 EMERGENCY STOPPING
ATTENTION
Avoid injury! Engine and blade must stop within 3 seconds. If not, please contact the nearest authorized dealer.
Release the safety control lever.

The blade will stop.
–
The engine will stop.
12 GRASS COLLECTOR
Operation with grass collector
During mowing ensure that the collector is emptied in good time. The grass collector will only collect grass perfectly if it is
permeable to air.
IMPORTANT
Do not clean the grass collector with hot water!
