A4 Maintenance

Perform the following maintenance and
visual inspections on your iMC once a year:
» Clean the entire manoeuvring drive.
» Check the distance between the driver rollers
and the tyres, as well as the tyre pressure.
» Look and check the cabling and the electrical
connections, in case they are damaged.
» Check the battery voltage.
» Before each drive, check that there are no
foreign bodies in the manoeuvring drive,
e. g. stones or twigs.
» Contact your dealer in case of malfunctions.
A5 Remarks and tips
» You can also use the iMC for hitching the trailer to
your towing vehicle.
» Before you drive up to the trailer in your towing
vehicle, first make sure that both drive units have
been swivelled away. (Fig. Annex 4)
» Use wedges to compensate for any kerb edges or
other obstacles of that kind.
» Keep the remote control and the documentation
in a dry place.
» The iMC is equipped with an electric overload
protection device, and switches itself off auto-
matically in case of an overload.
» Please perform the reset procedure after an
overload. Refer to Annex A2 for the relevant
instructions.
» If the remote control or the base station is removed,
it will be necessary to perform a synchronisation.
Refer to Annex A1 for the relevant instructions.
» If necessary, renew the batteries in your remote control. To
do this, push open the cover on the rear of the remote
control in the direction of the arrow, and remove the
cover. Then remove the batteries and replace it with new
batteries of the same type. (Fig. Annex 5)

What should I do if the iMC cannot
be mounted on the chassis?
» The iMC is available in a variety of installation sets. There
are sets for chassis with a factory-fitted iMC preparation,
and there are sets for installing on chassis without iMC
preparation.

What should I do if the iMC cannot be switched on
with the remote control?
» The master switch is not switched on.
» The remote control is not synchronised with
the base station.
» The electrical power supply is too low.
The trailer battery must be recharged or renewed.
What should I do if the drive roller
spins on the tyre?
» The distance between the drive roller and the tyre has
changed. The distance must be 15-20 mm when the drive
unit is swivelled away.
» Check the tyre pressure and correct if necessary.
