Irrespective of what output amperage is selected, the output voltage is kept at a con-
stant 10 V DC. This means that there is a direct relationship between the selected
output amperage and the desired heating power.

Fig.6 shows the pin configuration of the
control plug for external selection of the
output amperage.
Unlike the adjusting dial, which permits an
output amperage range from 10 A to
150A, the available range in the case of
external control via the analogue signal is
from 20 A to 150 A. In addition, the
external, analogue voltage makes it
possible for the output current to be cut off

if the voltage falls below a certain level.
Important! Once a certain minimum
voltage level has been reached on the
Pot -
socket for the control plug, it is no longer
possible to adjust the output current on
the adjusting dial (3).
When programming the analogue signal,
have regard to the following voltage
levels:

0.392 VDC to 0.8882 VDC:
The plug for the analogue signal is
detected. After this point, it is no
longer possible for the output amper-
age to be adjusted by means of the
the adjusting dial (3).
0.882 V DC to 4.31 VDC:
The power source is switched on.
Output amperages of between 20 A
and 150 A are possible.
4.31 VDC to 5 VDC
The power source is switched on. The
output current is kept at a constant
150 A.
Above 5 V DC:
The power source is switched on. The
output current is kept at a constant
20 A.
