Safety

Utilisation for
The power source may ONLY be used for pre-heating welding wires for use in TIG
hotwire welding.
intended purpose
Utilisation for any other purpose, or in any other manner, shall be deemed to be "not in

damage resulting from such improper use.

Machine set-up
The power source is tested to "Degree of protection IP23", meaning:

This means that - in accordance with IP23 - the power source can be set up and
operated outdoors.
However, the built-in electrical components must be protected against direct wetting.
The venting duct is a very important safety feature. When choosing the machine
location, make sure that it is possible for the cooling air to enter and exit unhindered
through the louvers on the front and back of the machine. Any metallic dust from e.g.
grinding-work must not be allowed to get sucked into the machine.
Mains
connection
Warning! If the power source is plugged into the mains electricity supply during
installation, there is a high risk of very serious injury and damage. Before putting
the machine into service, read the section headed "Safety rules". Only carry out
these preparations if

the mains switch (G) is in the "0" position and
-
the mains cable (I) is unplugged from the mains.

Warning! A power source that topples over can easily kill someone! Place the
power source on an even, firm floor in such a way that it stands firmly.
Note! If the machine is run on the wrong mains voltage, all warranty rights will
be forfeited.
Warning! Incorrectly dimensioned mains plugs, mains supply leads and fuse
protection can lead to serious damage to (or loss of) property. If the power
source is designed to run on a special voltage, the Technical Data shown on the
rating plate apply. The mains plug and mains supply lead, and their fuse
protection, must be dimensioned accordingly.
