Driver Alert System
HOW IT WORKS
The Driver Alert System recommends that the driver should take a break if it detects lack of
concentration.
SYSTEM INFORMATION
• From a speed of 65 km/h onwards, various sensors continuously evaluate the driving
behaviour
• On the basis of various registered parameters (e.g. steering behaviour and use of the
paddles), the system draws conclusions about the driver's suitability for driving
• If signs of fatigue are detected, the system recommends that the driver should take a
break – it does this by information on the multifunction display as well as an audible
signal
• If the driver does not take a break within 15 minutes after the message, the message is
repeated again
