HOW IT WORKS
The city emergency brake function is a component of Front Assist and brakes the vehicle
automatically at low speeds if there is a risk of a collision.
SYSTEM INFORMATION
• The City Emergency Brake is active at speeds of 5-30 km/h
• If the system detects a collision risk, it brakes the vehicle automatically – there is no
visible or audible warning
• The driver can override the system by accelerating
• The system also responds to stationary vehicles
• As a rule, the system does not react to motorbike and bicycle riders or to pedestrians,
because these do not reflect the radar signal sufficiently
