Park Pilot
HOW IT WORKS
The "ParkPilot" parking distance warning system supports the driver when parking by means
of visual and audible signals.
SYSTEM INFORMATION
• Ultrasonic sensors in the rear and front bumpers locate obstacles behind or in front of
the vehicle
• The system is activated automatically at a speed less than 10 km/h (in all vehicles based
on the modular transverse matrix MQB)
• The system detects the vehicle's direction of travel and only activates the relevant
parking sensors
• Signals sound when an obstacle is detected
• The display of the infotainment system shows the distance from the obstacle in the form
of bars
• The closer to the obstacle, the faster the signals sound
• A continuous sound indicates that the distance from the obstacle is less than 30 cm
