8.2 Coffee−making system
Symptom:
1. After pressing the 'amount
key' the machine beeps
every other second.
2. Filter unit runs over.
3. Coffee is too cold.
4. Coffee is too strong / not
strong enough.
5. Too much / too little coffee
in the container.
6. Coffee grounds in the coffee
container.
7. After the container has been
filled the symbol of the filter
unit is still lit.

LIST OF MALFUNCTIONS
Possible cause:
Spray head outlet is not
positioned properly in relation to
the filter unit (see display).
Container is not positioned
properly (see display).
The filter paper is doubled.
Due to a combination of soft
water (<7_ DH), too finely
ground coffee or the use of flat
filter paper the water cannot go filter paper the water cannot go
through the coffee / filter paper
quickly enough.
Plug of the container is not
connected to the column.
Container switch is not on.
Internal fuse has blown due to
overload.
Incorrect coffee dosage.
Incorrect setting of the amount
of water.
The mixer pipe is not there.

Filter paper torn or doubled.
Drip time too long.
Actions:
Position the spray head outlet
correct above the filter unit.
Place the container in the
correct position.
Call in service.
Check the filter paper.
Make use of the filter cone with
cone filter paper and/or use a
courser ground coffee.
Adjust the coffee−making
capacity, see § 7.3.8.
Connect the plug of the
container to the socket on the
column (D.).
Switch on the container switch
(W.).
Call in service.
Set the correct dosage using
the coffee calculator, see
§ 4.1.4.
Set the correct amount of water,
see § 7.3.1.
Insert the mixer pipe (T.) into
the container.
Set the correct amount, see
§ 7.3.1.
Check the filter paper.
Set the drip time again, see
§ 7.3.9.
