14.
PREVENTIVE MAINTENANCE INSPECTIONS
To make sure that the electric pump continues to operate in a regular way, the purchaser must conduct regular routine maintenance and replace
any worn parts. It is advisable to perform the preventive maintenance inspections listed below at least once a month, or after every 200 - 300 hours
service:
- make sure that the power supply voltage is within the required values
- make sure that the noise and vibration levels are unchanged, in relation to the optimal conditions when the machine was first started

- using a current clamp, make sure that the power inputs of the three phases are balanced and that they do not exceed the data plate values
- make sure that the cooling system is clean
- check oil conductivity, which must be >30 KΩ, if there is no indicator light on the electric panel.

CHECKING AND CHANGING THE OIL
In normal operating conditions, the oil must be changed after every 7500 hours service, or after every 2500 hours service in heavier duty conditions.
Use the oils listed below, or similar.
Use the relative openings with 1/2" Gas plugs for emptying and filling the oil.
The opening with the word "OUT" is used for draining out the oil. To completely empty out the oil, set the machine in the horizontal position or use
the relative oil aspirator.
If the drained oil looks like an emulsion, it must be changed with fresh oil. In this case, check to make sure that the seal on the pump side is in a
good condition.
If water can be seen along with the oil in the vessel used, replace the mechanical seal on the pump side. The mechanical seal on the motor side
must only be replaced if damaged or if there is liquid in the motor housing.
The opening with the word "IN" is used for filling.
Comply with the quantities given below.

ARNICA 32 - Agip
DTE 24 - Mobil
NUTO H32 - Esso
TELLUS S 37 - Shell
or similar
The bearings have permanent grease lubrication.
To fill correctly, it is important to comply with the indicated quantity of oil. The oil chamber is designed to provide an adequate air cushion.
Once the draining / filling operations have terminated, make sure that the plugs are well tightened and equipped with their respective new copper
seals. If the oil has been changed, do not dispose of the old oil in the environment, but consign it to an authorized disposal center (COBAT in Italy).
Oil spills into the pumped liquid if the lower mechanical seal breaks or becomes faulty. Ask Caprari S.p.A. for the SAFETY DATA SHEET of
the oil used. Caprari S.p.A. can also be asked to fill the machine with F.D.A. certified oil.
