PRELIMINARY INSPECTIONS
WARNING
The electric pump can only be installed after a few simple inspections have been made.
1. The electric pump is supplied ready for use and with the correct amount of oil. After a long period at a standstill, check to make
sure that there is enough oil in the "oil chamber" (see relative "OIL CHANGE" section).
2. Make sure that the rotor is free to turn by operating the transmission shaft.
3. Connect the power cables to the terminal board.
4. Make sure that the protections have been assembled correctly.
GB
Switch two of the phases with each other to invert the sense of rotation.

ELECTRICAL CONNECTIONS AND RELATIVE INFORMATION
Electrical connections and relative information
The electrical connections must be made by qualified electricians in strict compliance with all the accident-prevention standards
currently in force and in accordance with the wiring diagrams in the manual and those attached to the control panels.
All the yellow-green earth conductors must be connected to the earthing circuit of the installation before the other conductors are connected,
while they must be the last to be removed when the motor is electrically disconnected.
The free ends of the cables must never be immersed in water or wetted in any other way.
Electrical equipment
Make sure that the electric control panel complies with the current laws in force in the country of use. Particularly make sure that its
protection degree suits the place of installation. It is advisable to install electrical equipment in a dry, well ventilated place where the
temperatures are not extreme (e.g.-20 to +40 °C). Failing this, use special versions of the equipment.
WARNING
The contacts of undersized or poor quality electrical equipment are liable to deteriorate quickly. This leads to unbalanced power
being supplied to the motor, which could be damaged as a consequence.
Safe operation depends on good quality electrical equipment being installed.
Unless they are correctly researched and installed, use of Inverters and Soft-starters could impair the safety of the pumping unit. Ask
the Caprari Technical Office for assistance if the relative difficulties are not known.
All starting equipment must always be equipped with:
1) general disconnector;
2) fuse-holder of an adequate size or magnetic protection against short circuits;
3) quick-tripping three-pole contactor with a high shut-off breaking capacity;
4) quick-tripping three-pole thermal relay with manual reset at compensated ambient temperature for protection against overloads and phase
failure;
- the following devices are also recommended -
5) a voltmetric relay to protect against voltage drops;
6) a device to protect against dry operation;
7) a voltmeter and an amperometer.

General prescriptions for the use of the INVERTER
- During commissioning and/or use, the minimum frequency must not be lower than 30 Hz, with a steady voltage to frequency ratio
- Maximum acceleration ramp time - 3 seconds
- Maximum deceleration time equal to twice the maximum acceleration time.
- Maximum inverter switching frequency ≤5kHz
Ensure the following operating conditions:
Voltage gradient
Conditions that must be met regardless of the length of the power cables.
