4.3 Samples from overflow tanks, not adduc-
ted for exchange without disconnection (the
lower hose of the overflow tank is NOT located
under the lid).
4.4 For chiller systems that are not suitable for
exchange without disconnection, select gravi-
ty exchange or disconnecting hoses with sta-
ggered adapters.
OPTION 1: EXCHANGE WITHOUT DISCON-
NECTION
1. Start the engine until the cooler sys-

2. Select suitable Y-adapter and coni-
cal adapter, for the purpose of sealing.
Connect the new fluid hose (red) and the used
fluid hose (clear) to the Y-adapter. Make sure
that: a) The deep insert hose is long enough
that it dips into the lower hose of the overflow
tank. b) The conical adapter makes a good
seal with the overflow tank; (Fig. 5).
Remarks: It may be necessary to tighten the
hose on the overflow tank with pliers for some
vehicles.
