There must be an oil film between the upper and lower markings. If there is no oil
film, the oil level is too low, Fig. 17. Top up with more oil. H-High stands for maximum.
L-Low stands for minimum.
• Clean the oil dipstick and oil filler plug.
• Tighten the oil dipstick using the oil filler plug.
Change the oil for the first time after 20 operating hours or one month. Then change
the oil every 100 hours or every three months. See also Table 6, p.33.
Top up oil
• Use 10W-30 or 10W-40 oil.
The appliance is supplied without oil and gasoline. However, there are oil residues in
the engine. Before operating, be sure to top up the oil according to the instructions!
• Unscrew the oil filler plug.
• Fill the oil slowly via a funnel up to a filling quantity of 0.6 l.
• Finally, check the oil level. See Measuring the oil level p.26.
For a long service life of the engine, change the oil regularly. See Table 6, page 33,
for the timing of the oil change.
