Removing fuel from a flooded engine
• Unscrew the glow plug and check that it glows properly. A faulty glow plug may be the cause of the problem.
• Squeeze the fuel hose between the tank and the carburettor so that no additional fuel can flow into the carburettor.
Use a hose clamp or other similar tool.
• Place a piece of cloth on the engine and pull the starter rope 5 - 6 times (3/4 of its full length). Fuel will be pumped
out of the engine and evaporate (if necessary, place the vehicle upside down).
• Replace the glow plug.
• Release the fuel hose (e.g. remove hose clamp). Try to start the engine again.
Switching off the engine
Unlike a normal car, the combustion engine in this model vehicle works without a fuel pump or electric ignition. The
engine must therefore be switched off in a different way.
In order to switch off the engine, you must stop the flow of air to the carburettor. To do this, cover the exhaust pipe with
an engine stopper (or a cloth), or hold the flywheel on the bottom of the chassis with protective gloves.
The fuel supply must not be cut off, otherwise the engine will not receive enough fuel and will not be lubricated prop-
erly. This may damage the piston and cylinder.
k) Attaching the car body
Place the body onto the vehicle and fix it in place it with the clips.
