5.2
SOFTWARE UPDATE
If the setting tool has been registered online, software updates are provided by e-mail.
If the setting tool has not been registered online, software updates are carried out at
HONSEL Service on our premises.
Precondition:

The setting tool has been registered (see chapter 5.1) and a new software version has been provided
by e-mail.
1. Connect the USB adapter with inserted SD card to a computer.
2. Save the new software version to the SD card. Do not rename the file.
3. Press the battery release button and remove the battery from the setting tool.
4. Insert the SD card into the SD card slot on the setting tool.
5. Insert the battery into the setting tool again.
6. Hold the "Arrow left" and "Arrow right" keys pressed and press the trigger at the same time.
7. Press the trigger and hold for 2 seconds.
8. Release the arrow keys and the trigger again.

The status of the software update is displayed on the screen.

As soon as the software update has been completed, the setting tool goes to standby.
9. The SD card can either remain in the setting tool or be removed from the setting tool.
10. Press the OK key.

The software has been updated.
5.3
MAINTENANCE SCHEDULE
Trouble-free operation of the machine is not assured without the maintenance operations described.
Activity
Remove dust and other contamination from the
outside of the machine using a clean and dry
cloth
Visual inspection of the setting tool for damage
Unscrew the nosepiece, front sleeve and union
nut and check the tight fit of the clamping
sleeve; retighten the clamping sleeve by hand, if
necessary
Clean the threaded mandrel used with a metal
brush
Blow out the threaded sleeve used with
compressed air
Wet the threaded mandrel / threaded sleeve with
a drop of machine oil
Send in the machine to HONSEL Service, see
chapter 5.4
Replace threaded mandrel / threaded sleeve
Replace nosepiece
