Adjusting the pole length (fig. B)

Important: Do not pull out the pole segments
beyond the "STOP MAX" marking on the segments.
Sufficient stability cannot otherwise be guaranteed.
If the tension of the quick-release lock is no longer
sufficient, tighten the knurled screw on the opposite
side of the clamping lever.
• Hiking on level ground (figs. C/D)
Set the length of the pole so that upper and lower
arm form a 90° angle.
At the same time make sure that the poles are adjust-
ed to the same length.

Open both clamping levers
on the quick-release locks
and extend the pole
segments to the appropriate
size. Pole length is indicated
on both centre and lower
segments of the pole. If you
wish to set the pole length to
a length of 120cm, adjust
both centre and lower pole
segments so that the 120cm
marking still protrudes visibly
from the upper segment of
the pole. Then close the
clamping levers again.
