A level sensor and separate Quickon connector are included in the scope of delivery. The
control device does not have to be opened for connection. The connection is established us-
ing a Quickon connector.

Level sensor and separate Quickon connector (Item 1 to 4).
1.
Push the union nut (Item 1), crown (Item 2) and the rubber seal (Item 3) onto the level
5
sensor cable.
2.
Remove the signal cable line sheathing (approx. 15 mm). The wire ends must be flush
with the splice ring (Item 4) or may protrude max. 2 mm, see Fig. 19.
3.
The capillary cable must be 10 mm shorter so that the necessary connection to the at-
mosphere is not interrupted.
4.
Insert the red wire of the level sensor cable into duct 1, the blue wire of the level sensor
cable into duct 2 and the capillary cable (length approx. 5 mm) into duct 3 of the splice
ring. (The numbers are stamped on the splice ring.)
5.
Insert the prepared cable into the contact support (Item 5).
6.
Tighten the union nut.
The quick connection automatically establishes contact and strain relief when
tightened.
Before reconnecting, cut off the cable remains and establish a new contact as described
above. Reconnection with the same contact system is permitted up to a maximum of ten
times.
CAUTION
Malfunction due to improper installation
The protective sheath / capillary cable of the level sensor is used to trans-
mit the current air pressure to the sensor. The sensor cable can be exten-
ded to a limited extent.
• Do not block or kink the protective sheath / capillary cable.
• The opening of the protective sheath / capillary cable must be fixed
in a dry environment and with connection to the atmosphere.
• It is possible to extend the sensor cable up to a length of 40 m.
For the extension, use a cable that is suitable for the conditions on site
(possibly an underground cable with a cross-section of at least 2 x
0.5 mm²).
A special IP65 terminal box with pressure compensation (accessories,
see Accessories [" 50] section) must be used as the connection point,
which ensures an exchange with the ambient pressure. There is no need
to extend the capillary to the control device here.
• Laying the sensor cable in an empty pipe is strongly recommended.
