The system is equipped with a self-priming centrifugal pump (Fig. 1, Item 1).
The pump delivers rainwater from a rainwater storage tank (Fig. 2, Item 17) or industrial
water from a replenishment reservoir (Fig. 1, Item 3) via the domestic installation (Fig. 2,
Item 17) to the extraction points.
The control device (Fig. 1, Item 2) controls the pump and the switchover to water intake
from the replenishment reservoir via a 3-way valve (Fig. 1, Item 6) depending on the rain-
water level in the rainwater storage tank.
The control includes a dry-running protection in case of low water as well as a flushing
function for the replenishment reservoir.
According to EN 1717 (AB-type free outlet), the replenishment reservoir (11 litres) (Fig. 1,
Item 3) separates the industrial water in the replenishment reservoir from the tap water
network. The replenishment reservoir is filled with tap water via a replenishment valve
(Fig. 1 and 2, Item 4). In the event of a fault, the water escapes unhindered from the over-
flow.
A hose for connection to the overflow (Fig. 1, Item 9) must be provided by the customer.
The Wilo-RAIN3 control device guarantees:
•
Start/stop of the pump depending on the water supply pressure and volume flow.
•
Level indicator in combination with the level sensor in the rainwater storage tank.
