The holes recommended for positioning the defrosting heaters in the finned coil on RCS version can be identified easily because they
have 4 smaller perimeter holes, see example below
In case you need to install one or more heaters in the finned coil, proceed as follows:
1.
Open the housing and remove the panels on tube side and on electrical connection side wiring as shown in Chapter 8 Figure
10
2.
Insert every element of the heater in the recommended holes on the heat exchanger (for identification refer to the sections
above). Be careful not to damage the heat exchanger tubes and the power cables of the heater. The direction of insertion will
be from the refrigerant connection towards the electrical connection side. Optimal insertion is obtained when each element
protrudes equally from the side boards of the exchanger (incorrect insertion can cause damage to the heater and the
housing)
3.
On each element of the resistance is a threaded a stud bolt which will be used to ground the heater
4.
Connect the power and the grounding cables to the electrical box as shown in the circuit diagram on the model
In case you need to remove one or several heaters in the finned coil, carry out the installation procedure in reverse order
With regard to the recommended position of the defrosting heater on the drip tray, this changes depending on the RC or RCS model
chosen. The drip tray is equipped with 2 lines of holes that will be used for the fixing the heater brackets, as per example below
