USING THE LIFT
8.1 IMPORTANT CHECKS TO BE MADE
It is absolutely forbidden to stay underneath the vehicle during lifting and lowering operations!
- Check that dangerous situations do not occur while work is being carried out. Stop the machine immediately if any operation problems
are noticed and contact the authorised dealer's technical service.
- Check that the work area around the machine is free from potentially dangerous objects and that oil (or other greasy liquid) has not
been spilt on the floor, causing potential danger to the operator.
- The operator must wear suitable work clothing, safety goggles, gloves and mask to avoid damage caused by dust or impurities,
dangling objects such as bracelets or such like must not be worn, long hair must be tied back, shoes must be suitable for the work
to be done.
- Check that dismantling of part of the vehicle does not alter the load distribution beyond pre-set acceptable limits.
- Turn the mains switch to zero when work is done on the lifted vehicle.
8.2 HANDLING AND BEHAVIOUR DURING LIFT OPERATION
Follow the procedures described below:
- Identify the weight of the vehicle.
- Identify the load distribution.
- Make sure to centre the vehicle in relation to the lift as accurately as possible.
- Identify the vehicle pick-up points and follow the manufacturer's instructions.
- Procedure for correct pad positioning: use your hands to hold and extend the telescopic arm (see figure); direct the pad and position
it on the previously identified vehicle pick-up points. Do not use feet or other systems other than those listed.
- Raise the carriage to a height of slightly more than 30cm and with pressure on the vehicle check the correct stability of the pick-up
points and the coupling of the stops.
- During the lifting and lowering movement, check the support point on the vehicle.
