e) Checking the Swash Plate Function
After you have connected the flight battery and the toggle switch for the motor off function (also see figure 1, item 17)
is in the rear position „1", you can check the function of the swash plate:
Pitch Function
Push the control stick for the pitch and tail functions
(also see figure 1, item 14) slowly from the bottom to the
top position. The toggle switch for the 3D-setting (also
see figure 1, item 4) must be in the front position „0"
for this.
The swash plate (1) will now move up slowly according
to the control stick position. It is important that the swash
plate is always aligned horizontally for this.
How far the swash plate is moved can be set with the
rotary controller for the pitch path limitation (see figure 1,
item 2). The farther the dial switch is turned to the right,
the longer the path of the swash plate up.
Turn the dial switch to the right until the stop and leave
it there.
When you move the control stick down again, the swash plate must move down again and always remain horizontally
aligned.
For test purposes, you can switch the toggle switch for the 3D setting (also see figure 1, item 4) from position
„0" to position „1" and will quickly find that the swash plate takes a much longer path downward.
The rotor blades are then aligned negatively, so that a model helicopter capable of aerobatics could fly in
back hover flight. At the same time, the throttle curve is switched, so that the motor would run at 100% output
with the 3D Setting activated if the control stick for the pitch and tail function is in the bottom position.
Attention, important!
Since the model helicopter „Beginner Falcon V2" is not designed for aerobatics, we urgently advise against
flying the model with the 3D setting activated or calling the setting in flight.
