Repeat the check every time the motor is disconnected from the power supply.
ATTENTION!
PUT IN USE
Make sure that all the instructions and checks described above have been observed before starting the
pump. Make sure that all the mechanical protections of the moving parts are correctly fixed.
Keep unauthorized people away. Check the correct operation of any safety or emergency devices provided
in the system where the pump will be installed.
No smoking near the pump if it contains flammable materials.
To avoid damage to the pump it is recommended to:
ATTENTION!
Proceed as follows:
1. Fully open the suction valves
2. Keeping the on-off valve on the delivery closed: turn on the pump using the controls provided, waiting for the
pump to reach the operating speed.
3. Slowly open the valve on the discharge until the desired flow rate is reached.
OPERATION CHECKS
Check that the direction of rotation of the electric pump corresponds to that indicated by the arrow on the pump body and on the
plate placed on the motor fan cover. Turn the power on and off quickly and observe the direction of rotation of the motor cooling
fan through the holes in the fan cover. If the pump rotates in the opposite direction, reverse two phases on the terminal board.
After a period of time sufficient to reach the operating conditions, check that:
There are no liquid leaks.
There are no vibrations or abnormal noises.
There are no fluctuations in the flow rate.
The ambient temperature does not exceed 40 ° C.
The bearing temperature, measured on the support, must not exceed 90 ° C.
The current absorption of the motor does not exceed that indicated on the plate.
In the presence of even one of these conditions, stop the pump and investigate the cause.
ATTENTION!
If the surface of the pump and associated elements exceeds 50 ° C, it is recommended to protect it from
accidental contact, by means of grids or guards. However, these precautions must not hinder the correct
ventilation of the motor. RISK OF BURNING
STOPPING THE PUMP
If there is no check valve, close the gate valve of the discharge line.
If there is no foot valve, the inlet gate valve must be closed.
Cut off the power supply to the pump motor with the commands provided for this purpose by the pump management
system
7 – MAINTENANCE
Before carrying out any operation, disconnect the power supply to the pump making sure that it cannot
be restored: lock the panel disconnect switch open with a padlock or remove or monitor the plug socket
so that it is not reconnected by third parties. Disconnect the upstream and / or downstream piping to
prevent liquid flows from starting movements. Lock the relevant valves with locking devices so that they
remain closed.

• do not run the pump "dry" (without liquid).
• do not operate the pump with the discharge gate valve completely closed.
• do not run the pump in cavitation.
