When it is necessary to move weights manually, follow the principles of ergonomics. In particular,
use the correct technique described below:
• be in a stable position
• grip the load securely, always with both hands
• raise the load from a squatting position (lower only as much as necessary)
• lift and carry the load with your back straight and straight
• keep the load as close to the body as possible
• Even when releasing the load, the main rule is to flex your legs and keep your back straight
Actions to be avoided absolutely:
• curving or arching the back
• jerking movements
• torsion of the torso when lifting and placing the load
• lifting and carrying heavy loads from one side only
HANDLING OF THE BARE SHAFT PUMP (See Picture Nr.6 Page 4)
To lift the pump, or keep it in a stable position during installation, sling it with belts or ropes, passing them around the
bearing support and the pump body.
Do not attach lifting devices to the shaft end of the pump.
The angle of pull must not be greater than 90°
DO NOT use the delivery or suction holes as lifting anchors.
HANDLING OF MONOBLOCK ELECTRIC PUMPS OR ON BASE (See Pictures Nr.7-8-9 Page 4)
To lift the pump, use belts or ropes passing them around the electric motor and the pump body.
In the case of groups with a base complete with eyebolts, use the same for lifting.
4 – TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS AND USE
The identification data and the characteristic technical data of the machine are shown on the plate (See Fig. 11-12 Page 5).
In the electric pump units, the plate shows the hydraulic and electrical data.
In bare shaft pumps, the plate shows the hydraulic data and the power / type of motor to be connected. It is recommended to
check that the motor used is suitable for the pump purchased. The motor must have a nominal power equal to or greater than
that indicated on the plate.
Do not use the pump for rotating speeds higher than those indicated on the data plate.
USE
THE PUMP / ELECTRIC PUMP UNIT IS SUPPLIED ACCORDING TO THE REQUIRED CHARACTERISTICS AND THEREFORE ARE NOT
ALLOWED USES OTHER THAN THAT PRESCRIBED. CHEMICALLY AGGRESSIVE, FLAMMABLE OR HIGH TEMPERATURE LIQUIDS CAN
DAMAGE THE PUMP IF THE PUMP IS NOT MADE FOR SUCH LIQUIDS. IF IN DOUBT, CONSULT THE TECHNICAL SERVICE.
MAX TEMPERATURE OF THE LIQUID: 70°C – MAX DENSITY: 1100 KG/M
AMBIENT TEMPERATURE: MIN. -10°C MAX. +40°C
Depending on the liquid pumped, the user must choose the appropriate protective devices and define
suitable work procedures to protect the operator from the risks (chemical, temperature, etc ...) derived
from these substances. To be checked in the relative technical data sheets (if present).
