Each operation must be carried out with care, avoiding knocks, collisions and crushing of the material. The machines must be
transported exclusively by qualified personnel, who must have:
• Specific technical training and experience;
• Knowledge of the technical standards and laws applicable in the relevant sector;
• Knowledge of the general safety requirements;
• Ability to recognize and avoid any possible danger.
The delicate parts of the machines, such as the electrical components, must be covered in order to ensure insulation from
atmospheric agents.
If necessary, each machine must be kept stationary on the plane of the means of transport by means of blocks, wedges, ropes or
other integral accessories and anchored to the platform itself or to the structure of the means of transport in order to ensure its
stability. Absolutely avoid that the machines are free to move, overturn or roll.
Use anchoring systems in accordance with the relevant manufacturer's instructions. If synthetic fiber slings are used, protect them
from friction, abrasion and damage caused by sharp edges of the load. In the presence of sharp edges that could damage the sling,
use suitable corner protectors, anti-abrasion sheaths or sliding tubes.
When removing the anchoring systems, make sure that the stability of the machines does not depend on the anchoring and that
this operation, therefore, does not cause the load itself to fall.
RECEIVING – General notes
When receiving the product it is necessary to verify that:
•
during the transportation it have not restored damages: in case of damages, even if exterior, write a note of reserve on
the documents of transportation and inform the conveyor
•
the supply complies with the order. Otherwise, notify the manufacturer.
UNPACKING – General notes
The machine is delivered packed in one of the following ways; carton box, wooden case, or on a pallet
covered with plastic film.
To carry out the unpacking phases, place the machine on a horizontal, stable surface that is able to
support its weight (check the capacity) and that is free of obstacles.
To remove the packaging wear: anti-cut and anti-puncture gloves, work clothes, protective goggles (if
WARNING!
there are straps or wire).
When using a cutter or other cutting tools, pay attention to the risk of cutting, perforation, abrasion.
When opening wooden crates, pay attention to the presence of splinters, nails or staples.
HANDLING – General notes (See Picture Pag.4)
Handle the pumps / electric pumps with the necessary lifting means. Any bumps or falls can damage them
even without external damage or cause damage to people or things.
Use ropes, belts or chains suitable for the purpose: for the weights of the unit or of its individual
components (pump, motor) refer to the drawings and any technical documentation received.
If necessary, contact the technical assistance service. Use belt covers to avoid their damage.
Make sure that the lifting accessories (hooks, chains, rings, eyebolts, ropes, slings) have adequate capacity,
are in good condition and do not have cracks, breaks, rusted parts, fraying, cuts or other types of damage.
In particular, the automatic hook closures must be fully functional and the eyebolts fully screwed. The
lifting equipment must be used exclusively by expert, trained and authorized personnel. Handle the load
carefully. Do not lift the load if the "pull" is not vertical.
ADJUST THE LENGTH OF THE ROPES, BELTS OR CHAINS SO THAT THE LOAD IS KEPT IN A HORIZONTAL
POSITION.
Do not bring your hands close when lifting ropes, belts or chains: if necessary use grapples or rods to guide
the load.
Place the load on a flat, horizontal surface suitable for supporting its weight and free of obstacles.
DO NOT use the delivery or suction holes as lifting anchors.
Do not stand or pass under the load during handling.
Respect the general and local safety regulations in force.
The pump is supplied packed in protective packaging that must be removed only before installation.
In case of manual handling:
- up to 20kg => lifting by 1 person (unless otherwise indicated based on the company risk assessment);
- up to 40kg => lifting by 2 people (unless otherwise indicated based on the company risk assessment);
- from 40kg: use eyebolts or other mechanical lifting systems.
