5.7 The plunger does not return, or returns more slowly than
usual

Possible cause
The pressure relief valve on the pump is closed.
The couplers are not connected correctly.
The oil reservoir is full.
An undersize hose restricts the oil flow.
The return spring is weak or broken.
The cylinder is damaged internally.
The air pressure return system does not contain
enough air.
5.8 Oil leaks from the external pressure relief valve
(only for hydraulic return cylinders)

6 Maintenance

Solution
Open the pressure relief valve on the pump.
Correctly connect the couplers.
Use a pump with a larger oil reservoir.
Use a hose of the correct size.
Have the cylinder repaired by a Holmatro
Certified Technician.

Refill the air pressure return system.
Refer to section 6.5.7.
Solution
Correctly connect the couplers.
Install a return line without resistance.
