Only use the fume extractor to ex-
tract weld fumes. Do not use the
fume extractor to extract hot
gases (above 140 F/60 C), wood
or cement particulate, engine ex-
haust, liquid vapors, explosive
materials,
aggressive
(acid), fumes from burning ob-
jects, or fumes from cleaning,
cutting, gouging, grinding, paint-
ing, flame spraying, sand blast-
ing, or other non-welding opera-
tions.

Power Switch
Use switch to turn unit On and Off.

Service Indicator Light
Service indicator light flashes to indicate
various problems or maintenance re-
quirements (See Section 8-2).

Connections For Optional Remote
Start/Stop Sensors

The power switch must be turned on
and the sensor plugged in for the re-
mote start/stop to function.
The Filtair 400 comes with an automatic
start/stop feature. Contact the factory for
information on using the remote start/
stop function.
A current sensor or peripheral device
can automatically turn the unit on when
welding current is detected or the signal
is used. The unit shuts off 20 seconds af-
ter welding stops and no current is
detected.
