4-1. General Description
The Filtair High Vac 400 weld fume collector is a high-volume vacuum system with four connection ports and a side channel compressor that uses
a high efficiency cartridge filter to collect airborne weld fume particles. The filter system is monitored by an electronic control system, and depending
on the saturation level, is automatically cleaned during operation. Weld fumes are captured at the source by a hose-mounted nozzle, or directly from
one or more welding guns with integrated extraction, and directed to the filter where the particles are removed from the air. A compressed air cleaning
system is used to remove particles from the outside of the filter. The particles drop into a particulate bin where they are collected for disposal.
The Filtair 400 is equipped with automatic start/stop. With optional start/stop sensors, the unit can be switched on or off at four different locations. The
weld fume collector comes assembled and includes a connector for an input power cord. A variety of collection nozzles and different length hoses
are also available.
