The German Federal Postal Authorities
allow, under reference number C 46050,
this receiver to be installed on ships of the
Federal Republic of Germany as a
wireless receiver with limited range of
application.
"The German Federal Postal! Authorities
however draw your attention to the fact the
"General Sound and TV-Radio Licence'
entitles you only to install and to operate
sound, TV and radio receivers. Only radio
transmissions and no other kind of
transmissions may be received by means
of these sets.
lf — on board — transmissions are also
to be received on the marine band within
the wavelength 1605 and 4000 kHz it is
necessary to apply for an additional licence
allowing the installation and operation
of a wireless receiver for marine radio
service.
Licences regarding wireless receivers for
marine band on ships can be obtained
from the Radio Office Hamburg.
A different licence may be required for
use in other countries therefore the
licencing authorities — Post Office — for
the country in question should be
contacted for further information.
