4.3
Fitting special clamping jaws
For light-truck wheels with a rim diameter of 17.5"
and asymmetrically arranged drop base which must
be mounted with the disc facing downwards (1, Fig.
17) and for motorcycle or scooter wheels with a rim
diameter of 8" to 15" (2, Fig. 17), special clamping
jaws are available.
Special clamping jaws are simply positioned on the
clamping jaws already present and snapped into
place.
4.4
Inner clamping of rims with a diam-
eter of between 12 and 24"
• Fully depress the pedal (1, Fig. 14) then take
your foot off the pedal. The clamping jaws move
inwards.
• Position rim and the wheel.
• Depress the pedal past the lower end of stroke
point then release it. The wheel is clamped.
• Depress the pedal. The wheel is unclamped. To
avoid damaging the surface fi nish of alloy rims,
they should be only be clamped from the outside.
Special plastic caps are available as optional extras
for the clamping jaws so that alloy rims can be
clamped carefully.
