Ambient Temperature Limits
WARNING
■ Extreme temperatures can damage the battery
and may also cause it to generate heat, rup‐
ture, leak, ignite or explode, resulting in severe
or fatal personal injury or property damage.
Never charge, use or store the battery outside
the ambient temperature limits specified
below.
► Do not charge the battery below - 4 °F (-
20 °C) or above 122 °F (50 °C).
► Do not use the chain saw or battery below
‑ 4 °F (- 20 °C) or above 122 °F (50 °C).
► Do not store the chain saw or battery below
- 4 °F (- 20 °C) or above 158 °F (70 °C).
26.6
Ambient Temperature Recom‐
mendations
For optimum performance, observe the following
ambient temperature ranges for the chain saw
and battery:
– Charging: 41 °F to 104 °F (5 °C to 40 °C)
– Use: 14 °F to 104 °F (- 10 °C to 40 °C)
– Storage: - 4 °F to 122 °F (- 20 °C to 50 °C)
Charging, using or storing the battery outside the
recommended ambient temperature ranges may
reduce performance.
If the battery became damp or wet during opera‐
tion, allow it to dry at least 48 hours at tempera‐
tures between 59 °F (15 °C) and 122 °F (50 °C)
and relative humidity below 70 % before charg‐
ing or storing. Higher humidity can extend the
drying time.
