TROUBLESHOOTING
Symptom
The LEDs of the power supply do not
illuminate when the unit is switched
on
No irrigation flow when the foot pedal
is pressed
No ultrasound oscillations when the
foot pedal is pressed
Ultrasound power decreasing or
inadequate
Water leaks between the handpiece
cord and the handpiece
Only OPTIMA BAC200:
Water leaks from the bottle or the
device
Insufficient lighting of the handpiece
Solution
•
Check that the mains cord of the power supply is properly connected to the mains supply.
•
Check the power supply of the dental office.
•
Turn the power dial of the unit to ON and check if the LED is lit.
•
Replace the transformer.
•
Send the unit and the accessories to an approved BA
•
Turn the liquid flow rate knob to the maximum.
•
Make sure that water comes in external device for the OPTIMA BAC100.
•
Make sure that the bottle is properly installed for the OPTIMA BAC200.
•
Disconnect the piezo handpiece and check that the liquid exits from the cord.
•
Use compressed air (max. 3 bar) and check that air comes out of the handpiece.
•
Press the bottle by hand and push the air through to tube to change the negative pressure status in whole
system for the OPTIMA BAC200.
•
Replace the water filter for the OPTIMA BAC100.
•
Replace the pump head for the OPTIMA BAC200.
•
Check the connection of the foot pedal.
•
Replace the foot pedal.
•
Send the unit and the accessories to an approved BA
•
Check that the handpiece is connected to the handpiece cord.
•
Check that the instrument is tight.
•
Check that the instrument is not cracked.
•
Check the connection of the foot pedal.
•
Replace the foot pedal.
•
Send the unit and the accessories to an approved BA
•
Check that the selector is beyond the position 4.
•
Check that the instrument is tight.
•
Check the wear of the instrument and replace if necessary.
•
Replace the handpiece.
