Installation of Airmotor onto Tubing
Installation
• Make sure that tubing connector is ISO standard 4-hole.
• Align the pipes at the back-end of the airmotor with the corresponding
holes of the tubing, and then tighten the nut situated on the tubing by
turning it clockwise.
Installation/Removal of Handpiece onto/
Installation
• Insert the sleeve of the airmotor into the back-end of the handpiece
until it is securely locked indicated by a snap.
• Make sure that the handpiece is securely installed onto the airmotor
by pulling it gently with fingers before use.
Removal
• Hold the airmotor with one hand and
the handpiece with the other hand, let-
ting the hands overlap each other.
• Pull the handpiece off from the airmo-
tor. Do not separate the overlapped
hands until the lock is released.
Warning
• If handpiece cannot be smoothly installed/removed onto/from the air-
motor or if the handpiece rattles after installation, do not operate the
airmotor. In such a case, consult immediately B.A. BA International
Ltd. or an accredited BA certified Service Centre.
Operation
• Set the air pressure gauge to 29 psi (0.2Mpa) to 42 psi (0.29Mpa).
• Before operation, make a trial run and make sure that:
- The drive-air is not leaking from be-
tween the connecting part of the air-
motor back-end and tubing connector.
• Changes in the rotating direction and
rotating speed can be affected with
the control ring as shown.
- When the ring is turned in "F" direc-
tion, the handpiece installed onto the
airmotor rotates clockwise.
- When the ring is turned in "R" direc-
tion, the handpiece installed onto the
airmotor rotates counterclockwise.
- The rotation is stopped at the centre position between "F" and "R".
- Select the rotating direction and the speed by manipulating the ring
according to the treatment purposes.
