What to do...
The IMPRES 2 battery requires calibration or
reconditioning. Place the battery into an IM-
PRES 2 charger that has calibration enabled
and allow the charger to complete calibration
(Steady Green).
The charger is unable to detect the display on
at least one of the other pockets.
What to do...
•
Remove the battery from the pocket. Verify
that the battery is not attached to a radio.
•
Verify that the battery is an IMPRES 2 bat-
tery. Other batteries may not charge.
•
Clean the IMPRES 2 battery electrical con-
tacts using a dry cloth.
•
Remove power from the charger, then clean
the pocket electrical contacts using a dry
cloth.
•
Try replacing the battery. If the fault no lon-
ger exists, take the faulted battery out of
service. If the fault persists with the replace-
ment battery, take the charger out of serv-
ice.
The Potential Capacity of the IMPRES 2 battery
may be less than the Long-Term Storage selec-
tion. The battery may be nearing End of Life.
The charger pocket is not the standard pock-
et for charging a battery through electrical con-
tacts between the charger and the battery.
•
A Radio Pocket is a special pocket in which
the battery is attached to a radio, there are
no external contacts on the battery, and
the battery is charged through electrical con-
tacts on the radio.
•
A Charging Pocket is a pocket that uses
charger energy for a special purpose, such
as USB charging ports.
Move the battery to a standard pocket or re-
place the Radio Pocket or Charging Pocket with
a standard pocket.
