The procedure 2 (Mask's Complete Cleaning) has been developed, to thoroughly clean the FX
Protector. The procedure #2 will required a Philips type screw drive tool to dismantle the add-on parts (3) (8972344SP) and
a pair of pincers to reassembled the Anti-soap baffle (8972253SP) part of the FX
of cleanness of procedure 2 is effective and does not required other special tools for the user. All visible traces or particles
of marking compound will be removed and dislodged without any effort, just by using clean soft clothes with clean cold tap
water either clean tap hot water. By using the Procedure 2 (Mask's Complete Cleaning), this method ensures that the FX
9004 Face Mask will be clean and be safe for immediate use but shall not be considered as a sanitized procedure.
Here are the steps to follow:
1. Remove and/or detach, all Close Cell Foams which are located inside of the FX
will consist of the Ears (left 8972249 and right 8972251), Chin (8972250) and Forehead (8972252) foam parts simply
by pulling them free from the inside of FX
2. Remove the Goggle's Forehead (8971016) and Mustache (8971017) foam parts simply by pulling them free with your
hand.
3. Remove the external fabric that cover the Face Shield (8972246SP) simply by pulling them free with your hand.
4. From the outside, remove and/or detach the Anti-Soap Baffle (8972253SP) part simply by pulling them free with your
hand. then
5. Remove and/or detach, the FX
Assembly (8971021SP) by Grasping and pulling the
nose portion of the FX
plastic shell by exerting a downward pressure (see Fig.
42).
6. When the lower portion (nose bridge) of the Goggle
Assembly has been dislodged, remove the Goggle
Assembly for complete disassembly from the FX
Helmet, Head Protector's plastic shell (See Fig. 42a).
