1. GENERAL INFORMATION

Application
The Soehnle Professional Compact Scales 9330 is
designed for weighing goods.

Safety instructions

Please read this user manual carefully before
using the equipment for the first time. It contains im­
portant information concerning the installation, correct
use and maintenance of the equipment.
The manufacturer shall not be held liable if the following
instructions are not observed: The appropriate regula­
tions must be followed when using electrical compo­
nents that have higher safety requirements. Never
carry out work on the equipment while under voltage.
Improper installation will invalidate the warranty. The
electrical connection conditions must conform to the
rating values printed on the power supply unit. The
equipment is designed for use inside buildings. Note
the permissible ambient temperatures for operation
(see Technical Data).
The equipment complies with electromagnetic compat­
ibility requirements. Do not exceed the maximum values
specified in the standards. If you have any problems,
please contact your service partner.
Cleaning
All you need to clean the equipment is a damp cloth
and a commercially available cleaning agent. Do not
use abrasive cleaning products.
Important: Do not expose the scales directly to water
or excess moisture.

Maintenance and Servicing
These scales do not require regular maintenance. How­
ever, it is advisable to check their accuracy at regular
intervals. The frequency of these checks depends on
the type of use and condition of the scales.
Note
This device is equipped with noise suppression in accord­
ance with European directive 89/336/EEC. However, the
display reading can be affected by extreme electrostatic
or electromagnetic interference, if a radio or mobile
phone is used immediately beside it. Once the source
of interference is removed, it may revert to normal oper­
ation. However, it may be necessary to restart the scales.
If there is permanent electrostatic interference in the
area, we recommend earthing the platform. This device
is a measuring instrument. Draft, vibrations, rapid tempe­
rature changes and direct exposure to sunlight may affect
the weight readings. The scales conform to protection
class IP 44. Avoid high levels of air humidity, steam,
aggressive fluids and dirt contamination.
Warranty/liability
If the supplied goods contain a defect attributable to
Soehnle Professional, Soehnle Professional will be enti­
tled to rectify the defect or provide a replacement. Re­
placed parts will become the property of Soehnle Pro­
fessional. If rectification of the defect or the supply of
replacement parts are still unsuccessful, then the legal
provisions will apply. The warranty period covers 2 years
starting from the date of purchase. Please keep your
invoice as proof of purchase. If your device needs ser­
vicing, please contact your dealer or Soehnle Customer
Service. Soehnle Professional will not accept liability
for any damage resulting from any of the following
causes: Unsuitable or improper storage or utilisation,
