3.2. Supporting the motors
In general, SELVE motors can be supported by means of an inserted square or by
means of the external contour of the motor head. There are different motor brackets for
all support options.
Furthermore, different flanges or mounting plates can be pre-screwed. In case of
square support, there must be a mechanical stop behind the motor bearing, in order
to avoid axial movement of the square.
Caution! The SE Pro 2/30-RC, SE Pro 2/40-RC and SE Pro 2/50-RC motors must not
be mounted with the pluggable square 930285!
If the motor head is screwed directly to a head piece or if a flange is pre-screwed, it
must be taken into consideration that the external screw holes (with a clearance of
48 mm) must be used for series 2 motors in any case!
The internal screw holes (clearance of 29 mm) are not able to transmit torques. As there
is no thread within the external screw holes, special screws must be used.
For series 1, there are only 2 screw holes (clearance of 29 mm), which can be used.
Please use the following screw types:
• Series 2 plastic: self-tapping screw KN 1033 STS 50x14-Z
• Series 2 metal: self-tapping screw KN 3041 SLS L40x12 T20
• SE series 1: screw DIN 965 M5 x 10
