Draining the pressure pipe
To drain the pressure pipe, move the backwater device
(1) to the OPEN position.
Move the operating lever (2) into the horizontal posi-
tion. (Backflow preventer made of polymer)
Screw in the adjustment screw (3). (Backflow preven-
ter made of grey iron)
The water runs out of the pressure pipe into the waste-
water tank.
Move the backwash device back to the operating posi-
tion.
Place the operating lever (2) in the vertical position.
Unscrew the adjustment screw (3).
Unscrew the service access cover.
Remove the immersion pipe.
Ensure that the level (A) in the wastewater tank is below
the pump flange (4).
If necessary, pump water out of tank until it is empty
(manual diaphragm pump connection, see "Product
description", page 23).

Checking the backwater preventer
Polymer fitting
Depending on the system version, one (Mono) or two (Duo)
backflow preventers:
Remove and clean the backflow preventer (1).
Ensure that the non-return flap (2) is free from damage.
The seal must be in a faultless condition.
Re-install the backflow preventer.
Ensure that the backwater device is in the CLOSED posi-
tion.
Grey iron fitting
Depending on the system version, one (Mono) or two (Duo)
backflow preventers:
Dismantle the access flap (3) and remove the non-return
flap (2).
Clean the non-return flap and the inside of the backflow
preventer.
Ensure that the non-return flap is free from damage. The
seal must be in a faultless condition.
Re-insert the non-return flap. Ensure that the support with
chamfer (4) is in the position as illustrated.
Re-install the access flap.
Ensure that the backwater device is in the CLOSED posi-
tion.
