Maintenance
Observe EN 12056-4 for maintenance.
6.1
Maintenance interval
According to standard specifications, maintenance must be carried out at the following intervals:
1/4-yearly for systems in commercial operations
1/2-yearly for systems in apartment buildings
Yearly for systems in single-family homes
Visual inspection
The system must be checked once every month by the operator through observation of two switching cycles for opera-
tional ability and leak-tightness.
6.2
Maintenance work
CAUTION
Before opening the tank, ensure sufficient ventilation of the room. Keep sources of ignition away and do not smoke.
Make sure that the pump(s) are at ambient temperature.
CAUTION
Inlet and outlet pipes must be emptied and pressure-less before work is started.
Aggressive cleaning agents can damage seals. Use hot water and a brush for cleaning work.
The pump flange (1) must not be dismantled.
Visual inspection
Check all the system components for completeness, a firm fit, sound condition and tightness.
Check the shut-off valves
The shut-off valve/s must be able to be operated without faults and smoothly.
6.2.1
Preparing the system for maintenance
Close the inlet and/or make sure that no wastewater can
flow in.
Pump the system empty.
Either
Fill with water until pump 1 starts to run.
Switch off water feed. The pump runs until the "mini-
mum" level is reached.
Or
Actuate the pump via the control unit (manual opera-
tion) until the tank is empty.
CAUTION
Risk of material damage!
Pump must not dry run.
Switch off the power supply to the system and secure it
from being switched on again unintentionally.
If installed, close the shut-off valve in the pressure pipe.
Drain the pressure pipe.
