Safety
WARNING
The systems are heavy and bulky.
Suitable load-carrying equipment (crane, pallet truck, etc.) must be used to transport the plant. When load-bearing
equipment is used for transport, the system must be secured on a sufficiently stable pallet.
If the system is to be carried, we recommend dismantling the wastewater pump(s) to reduce the weight. If the
pump(s) has/have been removed, the system must be checked for leaks at the pump flange before it is put into ser-
vice.
The pump flange must not be dismantled (see "Maintenance work" section).
Make sure there is enough space for maintenance work in accordance with the relevant directives and standards
(EN 12056-4 and EN 12050-1). We recommend at least 60 cm working space all round the system.
If provided, lay out sound-absorbing mats (accessories) at the installation site so that the system can be positioned on
them.
Installation pre-conditions
The system must be installed on a level surface that is sufficiently load-bearing (take into account weight when filled =
tank volume in kg plus 70 to 250 kg, depending on system design).
The surface must be suitable for holding the floor fixings (0.9 kN per screw), which are intended to prevent the system
from floating up.
Connection pipes (inlet and outlet as well as venting) must be fixed so that they are self-supporting, they must not exert
any load on the system.
The fill volume of the pressure pipe must not be larger than the pumping volume of the system (EN 12056-4).

(4)
The system's pumping volume is defined by the ON and
OFF switching points as well as the post run time. Non-com-
pliance can lead to deposits in the inlet pipe which result in
functional problems.
Dependence of the pumping volume on the inlet position
(see "Useful volumes" section).
4.2
Installing the inlet
Mount the inlet pipe on the socket (1).
The inlet can be optionally mounted on one of the pre-
scored areas (see "Product description", page 23).
Make sure that:
Position the inlet above the level sensor for switching on
the pump(s). Otherwise backwater will occur in the inlet
pipe.
Alternatively, the switching points must be adapted.
Do not position the inlet in the immediate vicinity of the
level sensor; dirt and the inflowing wastewater could
impair the sensor's function.
If necessary, the mounting positions of the level sensor
and the service access cover can be swapped over.
Use a matching hole saw and seal for pipe penetration.
Align the centre of the drillhole with the centreline of the
pre-scored area.
Do not deburr the edges of the hole, as this could result
in leaks.
