Safety instructions

Daily usage
D The appliance is for commercial use and may only be operated
− by trained personnel,
− with a Gastronorm container inserted, or a drip catcher drawer,
− if the appliance is supervised,
− for the purpose designated in the instruction manual.
D Do not use as a storage or working surface.
D Only use pots and pans which are suitable for electric cookers.
D Do not block the ventilation openings for the appliance.
Risk of injury
D Be careful, the appliance and pots & pans are hot during operation. If only one cooking field
is turned on, the adjacent fields get hot too.
D Risk of fire. The frying surface can reach temperatures of over 300 °C. Only use a small
amount of cooking oil or fat on the frying/cooking surface. The cooking oil and fat can flow to
another part of the frying surface, which you have heated to a higher temperature, and thus
ignite.
D The appliance must not be used for deep frying.
Firefighting measures
D In case of fire, approved fire extinguishers for cooking oil and fat fires must be at hand.
Risk of damage
D CAUTION! Deformation of and damage to the cooking range! Avoid sudden cooling of the
cooking range! For this reason, do not try to cool the cooking range rapidly with water or ice!
D Do not block the fat collection grooves, otherwise liquid may penetrate inside the appliance.
D Placing hot cooking utensils on stainless steel table tops or surfaces may result in warping
and permanent damage of the stainless steel table tops or surfaces.
D Caution! Water which penetrates into the appliance can damage it! For this reason, do not
pour any liquid into the collection channel or over the cooking surface.
D Do not clean with water hoses, high pressure cleaners, high pressure steam cleaners or
steam cleaners.
D Do not spray foam cleaner on front panels and appliance panels. The foam cleaner gets into
the smallest of cracks and destroys the electrical and electronic systems.
D If you can't resolve problems using page 17 chapter 5. "Troubleshooting", switch off the ap­
pliance and contact customer service.
D If the appliance has not been used for a long time, let customer service give it a functional
check.
