Safety instructions

Daily operation

D The appliance is for commercial use and may only be operated
− by trained personnel,
− with the Gastronorm container/catch tray fitted,
− if the appliance is supervised,
− for the purpose designated in the instruction manual.
D The appliance must not be used for deep frying.
D Do not use the appliance as a storage or work surface.
Risk of injury
D Caution: the appliance is hot during use.
D Scalding hazard! Spraying hot edible oil or fat! Do not add water to heated edible oil or fat!
D Scalding hazard! Sudden rising hot vapour! Proceed with the appropriate caution when
adding water to the heated frying surface!
Fire safety
D Approved fire extinguishers for cooking oil and fat fires must be available for fighting fires.
Risk of damage
D Do not spray off or clean the appliance with water hoses, high-pressure cleaners, high-pres­
sure steam cleaners or general steam cleaners.
D Do not spray foam cleaner on front panels and appliance panels. The foam cleaner gets into
the smallest of cracks and destroys the electrical and electronic systems. Only use foam
cleaners in closed containers such as the braising pan or the water bath.
D Caution, deformation and damage to the frying surface: Avoid sudden cooling of the frying
surface. You should therefore not pour large volumes of water or ice onto the hot griddle. Do
not strike or hit the griddle surface or the appliance surface with tools, e.g. cleaning scrapers
or turners. Only use turners and cleaning scrapers with rounded-off corners and edges.
D Don't put pots, pans or similar items on the grill/ frying surface!
D If you cannot remedy malfunctions with the help of page 21 section 5. "Faults and
remedies", switch off the appliance and notify customer service.
D If the appliance has not been used for some time, have customer service check it for cor­
rect operation.
