9.5 External battery
An external power pack may be connected to the Actim 1ngeni Instrument for remote applications where main
power may not be available. Several suitable external power packs are available on the market that can provide
up to 48 hours of usage. As an example, please find the information of Tekkeon MP3450 below.
Do not connect power pack to the instrument unless the voltage is set at 12V. Please ensure that the correct
adapter tip is fitted. The instrument is fitted with 12V DC female connector with a 2.1 mm pin.

Operation Summary:
1. Fully charge the Tekkeon power pack before use.
(To check the charge when operating, hold the silver button above the LED indicators)
2. Connect adapter tip D to the output cord.
3. Connect the output cord to the DC Out port on the Tekkeon power pack.
4. Select a voltage level of 12V.
(Note: Tekkeon's power pack will default to the 5V setting every time that the DC Out cable is connected).
5. Slide the switch on the Tekkeon power pack to 'Lock'.
6. Connect the output cord to the Actim 1ngeni instrument.
7. Power up the instrument.
