Installing Cables

The IND780 harsh environment terminal is designed to withstand severe
washdown environments. However, care must be taken when installing cables
and/or connectors that enter the terminal enclosure. To ensure a watertight seal:
• Disassemble an appropriately sized cable grip. Figure 2-22 shows the
components, including the blank used when no cable is present.

• Before connecting the wires, pass the cable through an appropriately sized
cable grip and into the enclosure. Then, if required, place a grommet around
the cable as shown in Figure 2-23.
