16. MAINTENANCE
Regularly check the evoCUT 4.0 and the base
station for damage.
Have damaged parts and batteries replaced or
repaired by a SOLO dealer, technician or
service partner.
16.1
Cleaning
Once a week, thoroughly clean the automatic
lawnmower with a hand brush or cloth.
Contamination can impair the function of the
machine if not removed.
Once a week, check the cutting blades
(Fig. 2 - 9) for damage.
Damage to the electrical/electronic
system by incorrect cleaning!
Do not clean the automatic lawnmower with
a high-pressure cleaner or under running water.
Water penetration can cause irreparable damage
to the switch, battery, motors and circuit boards.
16.2
Checking contacts
If the contact surfaces (Fig. 7 -2) on the automatic
lawnmower are contaminated, clean them with a
cloth.
16.3
Check the rollers can move freely
Once a week, thoroughly clean the areas
around the rollers (Fig. 9 - 1) with a hand brush
or cloth.
Check the rollers (Fig. 9 - 1) can move and
steer freely.
If the rollers do not move freely, they must be
freed up or renewed.
16.4
Checking the base station
Disconnect the mains plug on the transformer.
Check the contacts (Fig. 7 - 1) on the base
station for contamination and clean using a
cloth if necessary.
17. REPAIR
Repair work is only allowed to be carried out by
expert workshops or our SOLO service centres.
17.1
Renewing the cutting blades
Switch off the automatic lawnmower (Fig. 3 - 7).
Put down the automatic lawnmower with the
cutting blades pointing upwards.
Unscrew the screws (Fig. 2 -11) with a 5.5 mm
spanner.
Pull the cutting blades (Fig. 2 -9) out of the
blade seat.
Clean the blade seat with a soft brush.
Insert new blades and screw tight with the
screws.
As a rule, the clearer blades do not need to be
renewed.
In case of stubborn dirt that cannot be removed
with a brush, the blade plate (Fig. 9 -3) must be
renewed because an imbalance can lead to
increased wear and malfunctions.
Damage due to an incorrect repair!
If cutting blades are damaged and bent, they
are not allowed to be straightened.
