Automatic Testing System for Battery Management Module
Functional Testing
• Functional test starts within 24 to 45 hours after the initial power up of the module.
• Automatic self-diagnostic test occurs every 14 days after the aforementioned functional test and lasts for five (5) minutes.
• At the completion of the test the LED indicator will display the status of the emergency luminaire when AC is present. See "Status
Indicator Code" table below for more information.
Full Duration Testing
• Starts within 14–35 days after the initial power up of the module.
• Occurs every 364 days after the initial test and lasts for full duration of rated emergency period.
• At the completion of the test the LED indicator will display the status of the emergency luminaire when AC power is applied. See
"Status Indicator Code Table" below for more information.

Troubleshooting/Maintenance
Although no routine maintenance is required to keep the emergency module functional, it should be checked periodically to ensure it
is working properly. Visually inspect the LED indicator lights monthly. If a fault is detected (Refer Status Indicator Code Table), proceed
with the following steps:
1. Make sure power is disconnected before servicing the luminaire.
2. Open the luminaire wiring compartment by loosening the eight captive screws. Allow the cover to swing open, enabling access to
the wiring compartment. see Figure 5/ Figure 6.
3. Verify that all leads going into the field wiring terminal block are not loose.
4. Reset the luminaire.
a. Disengage "Battery Pack Quick Connect." For reference, see the image below (Figure 15).
b. Wait for five (5) seconds.
c. Reconnect the "Battery Pack Quick Connect." For reference, see the image below (Figure 15).
5. Tighten the eight captive screws by applying a torque of 2.25 N.m (20 Lb.in) using the sequence shown as in Figure 11. Make sure
wires do not pinch between cover and wiring compartment when closing.
6. Apply AC power to the unit. LED indicator should flash green.
7. Consult Technical Support if a fault condition (flashing red) persists.
