Safety Instructions
WARNING
• Do not open or remove the luminaire with the circuit energized.
• Do not remove or replace sensor pod lid when luminaire is energized.
• Do not use this luminaire on ungrounded systems. Failure to ground the luminaire can result in an electric shock,
which may be fatal.
• Do not use on ungrounded 277 volt circuits.
• Supply wires to be rated for minimum 90°C.
• The nonmetallic enclosure parts of this equipment may become a spark ignition hazard in the presence of static electricity. The
enclosure shall be cleaned only with a damp cloth, and the equipment shall be mounted to avoid building static electric charge
from non-conductive process flow, strong air currents, or other potential charging through friction.
• Before installation, ensure that the unit complies with the hazardous area classification. Refer to luminaire nameplate, located on
exterior of housing body, for suitability in specific hazardous locations.
• Before installing apparatus in an explosive atmosphere, ensure that configuration shall be done with certified Field communicator
device with Intrinsic safe output.
• Do not open when explosive atmospheres are present.
