The interface complies with the USB version 1.1 specification (i.e., maxi-
mum data rate of 12 megabits per second).
To work properly, the used printer has to support PCL (Printer
Command Language). Please refer to the manual of your printer
for more information. A list of supported printer makes is also

Before printing or transferring data, it is highly recomended to

Printing All Reports

Connecting a data transmission cable causes the print feature to be
started. This is recognizable from Display 13 When this is showing on the
screen, it is possible, by pressing the START key, to send all reporting
protocols currently saved in memory to a printer or a PC.
7.2

Printing on Paper

Printing starts automatically after a selection was made in the print menu.
If the printer is not connected to the USB A interface at the front of the
welding unit, the unit display a "Printer not ready" error message on the
screen. Connect the printer to the interface and wait for all the selected
reports to print off and the "Printing finished" message to appear on the
screen.
If a problem occurs while printing is in progress (no paper in bin, paper
jam, ink or toner used up), the "Printer not ready" message shows again.
After the problem condition is cleared, printing resumes automatically.
If the welding unit recognizes a problem that cannot be cleared
while printing or data transfer is in progress, it does not resume
printing or transfer and displays a "Printing interrupted" error
message.

Data Tranfer to a USB Stick

Transferring welding reports to a USB stick is analogous to printing them
off on paper with a PCL-compatible USB printer. Instead of the USB cable
of a printer, stick the USB stick into the USB A interface at the front of
the welding unit, then wait for all the selected reports to print off and the
"Printing finished" message to appear on the screen.
7.4

Deleting Data in Memory

The report data in memory can be deleted only if all reporting protocols
were already printed. When printing is finished, a "Printing finished"
message indicates this. When the printer cable is unplugged, a "Delete
Memory" message is displayed. When the START key is pressed here, a
further confirmation message "Delete Memory, sure?" is shown, which
has to be confirmed by pressing the START key once again. Then, the
report data in memory is deleted.
For every data printing or transfer, always be sure to wait until
the display shows the "Printing finished" message before you
disconnect the printer, PC, or USB stick from the unit. If you

disconnect it too early, the welding unit may ask you whether you
want to delete the data in memory, although the reports were
not properly transferred or printed. In this case, if you delete the
contents of the report memory, the welding reports would be
