over, the cycle is immediately aborted and
the tub is drained. Normal conditions can
only be restored by switching the machine
off and then on again. The buzzer is actuated.

E8: level error.
8) Water level alarm E8: a water level 10 cm
above the established height is detected. The
cycle is aborted and the buzzer is actuated.
To remove this alarm, switch the machine
off and then on again. The cause of this
alarm is surely the level probe, as this is a
specific safety device. CAUTION! this fault
can also be caused by the use of foamy soap.
Icon
E0: Motor overload (when
provided).
10) Alarm E0: Motor overload cutout (when
provided)
In case of motor failure, be it overheating,
misconnection, etc., the motor is put to idle,
and the display flashes the E0 message. The
motor goes to idle and waits for 150sec.
After this safety time the machine performs
a distribution step and then makes a new
attempt. If after the maximum number of
five attempts the alarm is triggered again,
the cycle will be aborted, the display will
flash the alarm and the buzzer will be heard
for 5 minutes on end. After that the system
will be reset automatically. On machines in
which this alarm indication is not provided
for, if the motor does not work keep in mind
the following hints:
a) One or more motor overload devices
may have tripped, which will be reset
automatically as soon as the motor
temperature drops. If such overload
devices trip repeatedly, check out
working conditions and, if necessary,
remove any dust and lint that may hinder
motor cool-down.
b) The manual-reset thermal relay on the
wiring plate may have tripped. It will be
necessary to remove the cover and reset
it by the built-in button. If the overload
relay trips repeatedly, check out working
conditions and, if necessary, remove
any dust and lint that may hinder motor
cool-down.
Measures to be taken in case of a
voltage drop
If a voltage drop longer than 3 sec. occurs
during a wash cycle, on being re-energised
the display will read "POWER FAIL" with
the general danger sign and an hourglass
flashing for one minute: all functions will be
disabled. As soon as normal work conditions
are restored the cycle will be resumed from
the step that was in progress when the voltage
drop occurred and the display unit will
resume its normal functions. Conversely, if
the door is open when the machine is re-
energised, the cycle will be aborted.
ATTENTION: If the ON - OFF switch is
actuated to turn machine off after the
cycle has been started, the microprocessor
will behave as if a voltage drop has
occurred and will react accordingly.
CAUTION! WHEN ONE OR MORE
ALARMS APPEAR ON DISPLAY
DURING MACHINE OPERATION,
REMOVE MISFUNCTION SOURCES
BEFORE STARTING A NEW CYCLE (IF
POSSIBLE). AND CONTACT THE
AUTHORISED AFTER-SALES SERVICE
OR DEALER IN ORDER TO AVOID
FURTHER DAMAGE.
7.8 INFORMATION SPECIAL
MEASURES FOR USE AND
PROTECTION
When carrying out the first cycle, verify the
following:
- Soap dispensers must stay clean:
Compartment A after filling with pre-
wash water
Compartment B after taking in wash
water
Compartment C after taking in last rinse
water.
- Make sure that the soap made solid during
storing is washed away.
- Perform a 90°C cycle to remove all
manufacturing residues.
- The operator must be able to check soap
compartments with ease. Place a platform if
necessary.
- Make certain that laundry trolleys are lower
than the door's bottom edge.
- If need be, mount appropriate bumpers to
prevent trolleys from hitting and damaging
the door.
- Never open the soap compartment when
the machine is being filled with water or it is
heating.
7.9 ORDINARY MAINTENANCE BY
THE USER
BEFORE
ANY
MAINTENANCE
OPERATION, CHECK THAT THE WALL
CUTOFF SWITCH IS OFF AND THE
WATER TAPS ARE CLOSED. THE
DRUM MUST BE STILL AND DRAINED
AND THE TEMPERATURE INSIDE IT
MUST NOT EXCEED 40°C.
The machine requires no special
maintenance, thanks to its ergonomic design
and to the use of very reliable, first-quality
parts.
Periodically clean the external panels with a
damp cloth. Never use inflammable or
abrasive products and rub in the direction of
the satin-finish.
NEVER WASH THE APPLIANCE USING
WATER JETS.
BEFORE TURNING THE MACHINE
BACK ON BY THE WALL CUTOFF
SWITCH, PUT ALL THE PANELS YOU
HAVE REMOVED BACK IN PLACE.

MAINTENANCE AND ORDERING

SPARE PARTS

8.1 REMOVE THE LID
To reach the electrical parts of the machine,
take off the screws fastening the soap
dispenser and proceed as follows:
A) Key-locked cover lid : insert the keys
supplied into the two locks located at the
top's rear.
Unlock the lid's front and lift it until it can be
held up by the stop rod located on the side of
the machine, beside the soap dispenser.
The lid is hinged at the back of the machine:
it will turn upwards but cannot be removed
altogether.
B) Lid without key-lock: take off the screws
fastening the lid to the back panel; then lift
the rear part of the lid and pull it to the front
by approximately 5 cm.
BEFORE TURNING THE MACHINE
BACK ON BY THE WALL CUTOFF
SWITCH, PUT ALL THE PANELS YOU
HAVE REMOVED BACK IN PLACE.
8.2 TROUBLESHOOTING
In case of machine failure, ensure that this is
not due to any of the following causes:
- the main cutoff switch on the wall is on and
the machine is getting current;
- the door is closed;
- the green START push-button has been
pressed;
- the warm water, cold water and steam taps
are open (the steam tap only for steam-
heated machines).
If the fault is not due to any of the above
causes, call the authorised after-sales service
or your dealer (see last page of this booklet).
8.3 SAFETY DEVICES
- Door closed safety microswitch cuts off
power to the whole auxiliary circuit and
consequently stops the machine.
- Electronic thermal switches (overload
cutout) inside and outside the motor, that
disconnect power supply in the event of coil
overheating.
- Air-break system in the soap dispenser:
prevents wastewater from polluting the
drinkable water system in the event of a
depression.
- Normally open draining valve: enables
safe door manual opening by means of the
handle or manual puller.
- Fuse-fitted heating elements. the electric
circuit is disconnected in case of malfunction.
8.4 PERIODIC MAINTENANCE (TO BE
CARRIED OUT BY TECHNICIANS)
All periodic maintenance operations must
be carried out by the authorised after-sales
