Notes in accordance with VdS directives

Note!
The cylinder must be protected with a burglary-resistant door plate (with or
without pulling protection) in the relevant class.
The cylinder may protrude by a maximum of 3 mm..
Loss of ID: The means of ID must be kept safe. They must only be accessible to
authorised persons.
If lost, the means of ID must be blocked immediately. The cylinder may have to be
replaced.
The system operator must be informed: The system operator must be informed
of the requirement for a conscientious locking system management, together
with the documentation for the locking system. Particular reference should be
made to the dangers resulting from loss of ID and ID that can not be assigned to
an ID holder. For locking systems created with mechanical locking cylinders, the
system operator must be informed that changes in the system structure which
have an impact on the locking plan must be agreed with the manufacturer.
Minimum requirements for locking system management: The software for
managing the locking system must include the following functions as a minimum:
· PC-controlled locking system management program based on a current opera-
ting system
· Password protection to guarantee data security
· Availability of forms for issuing and returning keys, orders for keys and locking
cylinders, locking plans etc.
· Management of the keys according to status, e.g. „issued", „key cabinet", „lost"
· Management of the locking cylinders according to status, e.g. „installed",
„faulty", „ordered"
· Display of access authorisations based on keys or individuals
· Evaluation of key and locking cylinder stocks
· Planning of possible expansions to the locking system
