Electronic Knob Cylinder C100 V3
General
The electronic knob cylinder C100 V3 (Pic. 1) reads RFID cards and releases the door
to authorised code holders for passage. The power supply is provided by a 3 V
battery in the outside knob. No cables have to be laid.
The electronic knob cylinder C100 V3 is basically available in double cylinder

The double cylinder version (Pic. 1 –
) has different mechanical (inside) and
electronic (outside) sides. The electronic side is where the RFID card is held, the
battery is inserted and the electronics are installed. There are no electronic
elements installed on the mechanical side.
The double cylinder version is available with enhanced intrusion protection (VdS)
or as a standard variant (Basic) without special intrusion protection.

The half-cylinder version (Pic. 1 –
) is only provided with the electronic
(outside) side with a design identical to the double cylinder.
The half-cylinder version offer offers a removable knob for installations where the
full knob cylinder cutout is not available as a drilled hole, i.e. for installation in
switch panels or behind a mounting plate ("Installing the half-cylinder",
page 58).
The half-cylinder version is also available in a Server Rack variant

). The geometry of the cam is modified for this variant. It is suitable for
use in switch cabinet doors where the cam automatically engages and locks in
place when the locking lever is pushed in.

The electronic knob cylinder C100 V3 can be parameterised with up to ten ID media
for emergency authorisation in order to open the door from the outside if the
connection to an online control system fails.
