INDICATION

M.blue plus instruments can be used to
determine, change and monitor the pres-
sure level of the adjustable gravitational
unit of the M.blue valve as well as the
pressure level of the adjustable differ-
ential pressure unit of the proGAV 2.0
valve.
M.blue is a valve with location-depen-
dent functioning for cerebrospinal fluid
(CSF) drainage in the treatment of
hydrocephalus. It consists of a differen-
tial pressure unit and an adjustable grav-
itational unit (Fig. 1).

proGAV 2.0 is also a valve with loca-
tion-dependent functioning for cere-
brospinal fluid (CSF) drainage in the
treatment of hydrocephalus. It consists
of an adjustable differential pressure unit
and a gravitational unit.

APPLICATION OF
M.blue plus Instruments
The M.blue plus Instruments may only be
used by trained specialist personnel.
M.blue plus Instruments can be used to
determine, change and monitor the pres-
sure level of the adjustable gravitational

unit of the M.blue valve as well as the
pressure level of the adjustable differ-
ential pressure unit of the proGAV 2.0
valve.
M.blue plus Compass serves for localis-
ing the valve and reading the set open-
ing pressure of the gravitational unit of
M.blue as well as the differential pres-
sure unit of the proGAV 2.0.

The M.blue plus Adjustment Ring allows
the opening pressure of M.blue to be set
from 0 to 40 cmH 2 O. The M.blue plus
Adjustment Ring also allows the open-
ing pressure of the differential pressure
unit of proGAV 2.0 to be set from 0 to 20
cmH 2 O.

The opening pressure for the adjustable
gravitational unit of M.blue can be
changed before or after implantation.
The opening pressure of the gravita-
tional unit is preset by the manufacturer
to 20 cmH 2 O.
